Refund & Dispute Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
1. Scope
This policy covers refunds and disputes for paid championships/seasons/races and for setups or other goods/services sold through TakyRace, operated by Aitaky SRL. It does not limit any mandatory statutory rights you have as a consumer.
2. Your statutory rights come first
Nothing here affects your mandatory rights, including:
- —the right of withdrawal for consumers (see Right of Withdrawal);
- —the legal guarantee of conformity for goods (Codice del Consumo / Dir. (EU) 2019/771 — generally 2 years) and the conformity rules for digital content/services (Dir. (EU) 2019/770).
3. When refunds apply
| Situation | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Valid consumer withdrawal within 14 days (no exception applies) | Full refund per the withdrawal policy |
| Goods / digital content not as described or faulty (lack of conformity) | Repair, replacement, price reduction or refund per statutory remedies |
| Service / championship not delivered by the seller | Refund of the amount paid |
| Buyer changed their mind after a valid exception was disclosed (e.g. setup already delivered with consent) | No statutory refund; at the seller's discretion |
| Duplicate / erroneous charge | Refund of the erroneous amount |
4. How to request a refund
- Contact the seller via the in-product request (where available) or email support@aitaky.com.
- Provide the order/transaction reference and the reason.
- The seller responds within 14 days.
5. How refunds are processed
- —Approved refunds are issued through Stripe, normally to your original payment method.
- —Processing time depends on Stripe and your bank, typically up to 10 business days.
- —Platform fee on refunds: TakyRace refunds its 8% platform fee. Stripe's fixed EUR 0.25 per-transaction fee is non-refundable. For statutory consumer refunds and valid withdrawals you receive a full refund of the price you paid — the non-recoverable EUR 0.25 is borne by the seller, not deducted from your refund. For discretionary (goodwill) refunds the EUR 0.25 may be retained.
6. Disputes between buyer and seller
- —Refunds and disputes are primarily between buyer and seller. TakyRace is not the seller and does not adjudicate the merits of a sale.
- —If you cannot resolve a dispute with the seller, contact support@aitaky.com; we will reasonably facilitate communication and, where appropriate under our Terms, take action against sellers who breach them (e.g. withholding payouts where lawful, suspension).
- —Chargebacks: you may also dispute a charge with your bank/card issuer via Stripe's chargeback process.
7. Out-of-court dispute resolution (consumers)
EU consumers may use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform. Aitaky SRL does not currently adhere to a specific out-of-court ADR/conciliation body: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
